BRITISH COLUMBIA ALMADEN MINERALS reports more tonnage at its 100%-owned Siwash gold deposit 45 km southeast of Merritt, B.C. The latest estimate puts the measured and indicated resources at 636,300 tonnes averaging 8.78 g/t Au. There is also an inferred resource of 1.24 million tonnes grading 4.32 g/t Au.

The Siwash mine produced 51,700 oz of gold from 18,700 tonnes of high-grade ore during the 1990s. Almaden knows of eight mineralized vein systems on its property and has drilled four of them. The resource is calculated on only the B and WD veins.
