NORTHWESTERN QUEBEC The joint venture of INTERNATIONAL TAURUS RESOURCES (62%) and FAIRSTAR EXPLORATIONS (38%) is forging ahead with underground development at the Fenelon high-grade gold project in the Casa Berardi region. Approximately 982 metres of underground workings have been completed, including the recent addition of a ventilation raise from the 5213 level.

The new underground workings are designed for test mining and to prove up to reserves. The original resources estimate made a year ago was 49,550 tonnes indicated at 11.24 g/t Au and 38,840 tonnes inferred at 10.49 g/t Au.

According to a press release issued by Taurus, the deposit may be amenable to selective extraction with minimal dilution. The zones range in thickness from 1.0 to more than 4.0 metres. Drilling has also intersected areas of iron and copper sulphides.

Diamond drilling from the underground workings has been underway for about three weeks. The initial program includes about 5,000 metres of drilling. Visual examination of core from the first 31 holes on a nominal spacing of about five metres confirms good lateral and vertical continuity of the gold-bearing sulphide zones in the area between the crosscuts. Summaries of results from this drilling will be released as they are compiled, confirmed and interpreted over the next few weeks. Log onto www.TaurusResources.com for the latest updates.
