WHITEHORSE, Yukon Eighty kilometres south of here, TAGISH LAKE GOLD continues to encounter precious metal mineralization at the Skukum Creek, Mt. Skukum and Goddell Gully properties. The Richmond, B.C., company was formed late in 2002 by the amalgamation of Omni Resources and Trumpeter Yukon Gold.
Exploration at the Skukum Creek property has advanced to the underground stage. Mineralization has been encountered in the 1300 Ridge access drift sooner than expected, says Tagish Lake. Chip samples taken from the face of the drift assayed 10.56 g/t Au and 214 g/t Ag over a 0.4-metre length. Measured and indicated resources at Skukum Creek are estimated at 320,000 tonnes grading 11.03 g/t Au and 800,000 tonnes grading 6.77 g/t Au. A picture of the property may be seen at www.tagishgold.com.
Surface diamond drilling at the Goddell Gully claims confirmed a previous intersection. ARKONA RESOURCES holds a 30% interest in this project.
All three of Tagish Lake's projects are within a few kilometres of an existing mill at the former Mt. Skukum gold mine.
