TIMMINS, Ontario The grassroots Lalonde exploration program of TOM EXPLORATION is nearing the end of its 3,050-m drill program on the southeast grid area. So far only hints of gold mineralization are reported. But previous drilling on the J zone (in the southeast) indicated a mineralized zone with an average width of 1.5 m and grade of 7.28 g/t Au. Grab samples from the F zone assayed 5 g/t for one and about 15-16 g/t for three others; however, drilling intersected no significant mineralization.
It's early days yet for the Lalonde property, and hopefully someday there will be another gold mine in the Timmins-Porcupine area. In the meantime, check out the recent photos of the drill and core shack there by visiting www.tomexploration.com.
