ONTARIO - Q-GOLD RESOURCES of Flagstaff, Arizona, is going to give the old Foley gold mine near Mine Centre another look. PAUL WHELAN MINING CONTRACTORS has been hired to begin the first phase of dewatering, inspection and re-entry.

The Foley mine produced intermittently between 1893 and 1934. It has both a 260-m North shaft and winze, a 60-m South shaft and 3,500-m of drifts. Construction began in 1926 on a mill that was never completed. There are historical resources (not NI 43-101 compliant) of 35,300 t in proven and probable material plus 10 times that much in what Q-Gold calls the speculative category. The grade of all mineralized material is estimated to be 17.0 g/t Au (0.5 opt).
