SASKATCHEWAN - GOLDEN BAND RESOURCES of Saskatoon has received the go-ahead from SASKATCHEWAN ENVIRONMENT to build a decline and drifts to facilitate underground exploration of the companys Bingo gold deposit. The program is intended to define the grade and geological continuity of the mineralization and to upgrade the resources.
The scoping study, released in April 2007, indicated that the Bingo, Komis and EP gold deposits could be profitably developed and the ore treated at Golden Bands Jolu mill in the La Ronge Gold Belt. The company anticipates making a production decision in Q1 2008 and restarting mine/mill operations by the end of next year.
