ONTARIO – Premier Gold Mines plans to drill two highly prospective open pit targets along strike from its Hardrock gold project near Thunder Bay. The Bankfield West and Viper properties will be tested.

The Bankfield West target, located 11 km west of Hardrock, was identified by reviewing historical drill data from the 1990s. The company hopes the drill program will confirm the existence of mineralization within the porphyry.

The Viper target, located 30 km east of Hardrock, was staked by Premier because it is geologically similar to the Hardrock property. It is the site of intensely folded iron formation and porphyry units in an area of numerous local gold showings. The primary target has never been drill tested.

Premier Gold recently completed a preliminary economic assessment for the Hardrock gold project. Finding additional deposits nearby would allow the company to consider increasing the scale of operations beyond what are currently planned.

Information from the PEA is available at PremierGoldMines.com.
