QUEBEC - Montreal-based MIRABEL RESOURCES has commissioned the first phase, a gravity circuit, of its gold recovery plant near Val d'Or. The plant is now treating stockpiled ore and will soon be receiving ore from the company's Denain North and Rose Lake projects. A cyanide circuit will be built at the mill to further improve gold recovery.
Mirabel has said it wants to run a custom mill to treat small volumes of ore such as those from bulk sampling and exploration projects. In this way it can secure a cash flow while it continues its own exploration work.
