NORTHWEST TERRITORIES - Using high-pressure grinding rolls will cut crushing and grinding costs by 25% at its Courageous Lake gold project, says SEABRIDGE GOLD of Toronto. The property is located approximately 240 km northeast of Yellowknife.

A report submitted by WARDROP ENGINEERING indicated that the use of high-pressure grinding rolls would cut crushing and grinding costs by US$1.37/t compared with the previously proposed SAG milling circuit. The savings come from reduced energy consumption (US$1.12/t) and other consumables (US$0.25/t). Mill availability would also be increased to 96% with high-pressure rolls from 92% with SAG milling.

During 2006, Seabridge updated the resources at the project (4.2 million oz in the measured and indicated categories) and is now updating the pit design. The latest news is available at www.SeabridgeGold.net.
