GOLD RESOURCE: Timmins Porcupine West 43-101 updated

ONTARIO – Explor Resources, with head offices in Rouyn-Noranda, QC, has updated the 43-101 estimate for its Timmins Porcupine West gold property located in Bristol and Ogden townships, 15 km from downtown Timmins. Contained gold in the indicated and inferred resources total slightly more than 1 million oz.

Using drill data up to December 2011 and a 2.0 g/t cut-off, the indicated resource is 1.37 million tonnes at 4.93 g/t Au, containing 212,800 oz. The inferred resource is 7.12 tonnes at 3.56 g/t Au, containing 814,800 oz.

The mineralized zones identified through modelling, strike east-northeast and dip to the north at 70q to 80°. The drilling confirms the association of gold mineralization with Quartz feldspar (QFP) and syenite porphyry, as well as in the sediments in proximity to the porphyry found at both the Lakeshore and West Timmins properties. Five mineralized zones have been identified. The larger zones of mineralization display a strong spatial relationship with proximity to syenite intrusive rocks and high iron-tholeiitic volcanic rocks.
