NORTHWEST TERRITORIES - Drilling along the new decline at its Prairie Creek project 500 km west of Yellowknife, CANADIAN ZINC CORP. of Vancouver reported core assays as high as 56% combined lead and zinc. Hole 14 intersected 3.28 m of vein-type material that tested 26.41% Pb, 29.70% Zn, 342.00 g/t Ag and 0.60% Cu. Four other holes also intersected high grade lead and zinc in vein-type material. Two holes intersected stratabound mineralization of lower grade over widths to 5.00 m.

The current underground drilling program is focused on further defining the Main zone mineralization in order to upgrade the resources. Over 50 holes totalling up to 10,000 m are planned.

A description of the regional and local geology is posted at www.CanadianZinc.com.
