Magna Mining (TSXV: NICU; US-OTCQX: MGMNF) has unveiled its first mineral reserves estimate for the McCreedy West Mine in Ontario's Sudbury Basin. The company reported probable mineral reserves of 987,000 tonnes grading 1.59% copper, 0.32% nickel, and other valuable metals.
The reserves support a three-year production profile for the mine's 700/PM copper zones, aligning with Magna's 2026 guidance. Additionally, the company disclosed indicated mineral resources of 5,632,000 tonnes and inferred mineral resources of 874,000 tonnes.
CEO Jason Jessup called the announcement "a milestone for our company and a testament to the team we have built." He expressed confidence in the company's ability to convert more resources and replace mined reserves in the coming years.
The reserves estimate, effective December 31, 2025, incorporates updated parameters and geological information from Magna's drilling program. The reserves are contained within the 700 Copper and PM Copper-PGE zones, consisting of structural-controlled, chalcopyrite-rich veins.
Magna employs long hole stoping with unconsolidated rock backfill at McCreedy West. The reserve estimate includes appropriate dilution and 85% stope recoveries, with a cut-off grade based on Net Smelter Return exceeding costs.
The company plans to file a technical report supporting these estimates within 45 days. Qualified persons from SGS Geological Services and Orix Geoscience prepared and reviewed the mineral resource and reserve estimates.
