MARKHAM, ONTARIO - On Mar. 10-11, Canadian mining suppliers will have a unique occasion to learn about business opportunities with BARRICK GOLD CORP.'s global operations. The Barrick conference is chance for suppliers to learn about Barrick's operations and meet directly with personnel from the company.
The four projects that will be highlighted at the conference (Cowal, Australia; Lagunas Norte, Peru; Veladero, Argentina and Pascua-Lama, Argentina/Chile) are expected to produce more than 2 million ounces of new gold production annuallythe best pipeline of new projects in the gold mining industry.
Senior managers from Barrick's Toronto headquarters will participate, as well as project and mine managers from the above projects plus the company's Hemlo, Eskay Creek and Goldstrike mines. The conference has been organized by CAMESE, the Canadian Association of Mining Suppliers for Export.
