NEW BRUNSWICK The UNIVERSITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK has put out the call for abstracts of papers to be presented at the 24th INTERNATIONAL APPLIED GEOCHEMISTRY SYMPOSIUM (IAGS). UNB is hosting the event in Fredericton on June 1-4, 2009, but abstracts are being accepted between Jan. 15 and Feb. 15, 2009.

The symposium covers all aspects of geochemistry. The four days of meetings will touch a host of topics from case studies to the latest technologies. Sessions are planned on classic mining districts, mapping, exploration, environmental applications, biogeochemistry, data management, remote sensing and more. There are five professional development workshops to be held on May 31, and three post-symposium field trips have been arranged.

More information on the 24th IAGS is available at www.UNB.ca/conferences/IAGS2009. Interested authors may also contact IAGS chairman David Lentz at 506-447-3190 or dlentz@unb.ca.
