TORONTO - CENTURY MINING CORP. of Blaine, Washington, has withdrawn its offer for Toronto-based SULLIDEN EXPLORATION. The merger was hotly resisted by Sulliden management.
At stake is control of the Shahuindo gold-silver project in northern Peru. Peruvian courts have awarded control to Sulliden, but Century insists it has a valid claim to the property. Century says its merger would have been a method of eliminating continued litigation.
Any Sulliden shares deposited in anticipation of the merger will be returned.
