OTTAWA - Mark Jan. 17-19, 2006, on your calendars for the 38th Annual CANADIAN MINERAL PROCESSORS OPERATOR'S CONFERENCE to be held at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa. The topic for the plenary session is "Toward Sustainable Mining" featuring Gordon Peeling and Pierre Gratton. Other sessions cover new projects and operating improvements, new ideas and technologies, precious metals, comminution, flotation, and laboratory and pilot testing.
The registration fee is $300.00 for CIM members, $100.00 for retirees (who are National CIM members) and $450.00 for non-members. Registration includes the three-day meeting, coffee breaks, the Tuesday luncheon and evening social reception, the Wednesday evening reception and dinner, as well as a copy of the proceedings. A special rate of $169.00, single or double occupancy, has been negotiated for a block of rooms at the Westin Hotel. The hotel will only guarantee these rooms until Jan. 3, 2006.
