Glen Dickson has stepped aside from his duties as president and CEO of Cumberland Resources. In the interim, Kerry Curtis has assumed those duties. Walter Segsworth, former president and COO of Homestake, has been named co-chairman of Cumberland and will assist Mr. Curtis.
QGX Ltd. has hired Alexander "Sasha" Yakubchuk as its chief geologist. He has an MSc and PhD in geology from Moscow State University. His career has included teaching and employment as a geologist for BHP Minerals. QGX is earning an 80% interest in the Golden Hills prospect in Mongolia. The company has begun a drilling program to follow up on sampling and trenching results.
