Michel Garon has been appointed general manager of the Lac Dor project belonging to MCKENZIE BAY RESOURCES. The Lac Dor vanadium-titanium deposit is located near Chibougamau, Que. McKenzie hopes to become the first primary producing vanadium pentoxide mine in North America.
TOM EXPLORATION has invited Pierre Besuchet and Daniel Pauz to join its board of directors. Mr. Busuchet is currently a director of NOVAGOLD RESOURCES, a director and vice-president of ETRUSCAN RESOURCES, and a director of LION MINING CORP. Mr. Pauz has a professional background in the Qubec insurance industry. Tom is currently drilling the Lalonde gold property near Timmins, Ont.
Harvey J. Bay, CMA, is the new chief financial officer of SHORE GOLD INC. of Saskatoon. He has held senior financial positions with several mining companies including CAMECO, HUDSON BAY and CLAUDE RESOURCES. Shore Gold has a 100% interest in the Star diamond project 60 km east of Prince Albert, Sask.
RESSOURCES MINIRES PRO-OR INC. has nominated Claude Michaud as counsel toward the management of the company. Michaud has worked for the Qubec government, in the securities business, and most recently he was on the management team of Minires du Nord. Pro-Or is interested in a platinum- and chrome-containing deposit near James Bay.
