Chieftain Metals of Toronto has expanded its technical team with the addition of Gary MacSporran as director of technical services. His experience includes management, rock mechanics, underground design and optimization, project evaluation and due diligence. He is a graduate of Queen's University.
Dr. Mark Edwards has been appointed VP community government relations for Teck Resources of Vancouver. A graduate of the University of Calgary, he joined Teck in 1993 and his most recent position was director of environment.
The new COO at Toronto-based White Tiger Gold is Rinat Ismagilov. Since 2009 he has been a director at the company's Russian subsidiary.
