Vancouver-headquartered ALBERTA STAR has named Roger Watson its chief geophysicist for the Eldorado and Contact Lake IOCG and uranium projects.

ESO URANIUM of Vancouver has announced the appointment of Anthony Harvey as director and chairman of the board. During his 30 years with Wright Engineers and Fluor Daniels, he was involved in the design and construction of 14 mines around the world. He was the founder of Azco Mining, and a former chairman of Azco, Lake Shore gold and Oremex Resources. Harvey also sits on the board of Terra Energy.

Roger Walsh is the new VP of corporate development at JINSHAN GOLD MINES of Vancouver.

Vancouver's PEREGRINE DIAMONDS has named James Crawford the supervisor of its WO diamond project in the Northwest Territories. He gained experience in both diamonds and coal at Kennecott Canada before joining Peregrine. He received both a BSc and MSc from Queen's University.

Dr. William Mercer has accepted a seat on the advisory board of Calgary's TELKWA GOLD CORP. He was president of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada from 2002 to 2004. He is also a member of NRCan's Minister's National Advisory Board for Earth Science.

THUNDER SWORD RESOURCES of Vancouver has appointed Peter H. Cowdery as its VP exploration. He is a graduate of the Royal School of Mines in London, U.K., and is internationally known for his work at Asarco, Eldorado Nuclear, Hollinger Gold Mines, Algoma Steel, Echo Bay Mines, Brinex, Gulf Canada and other companies.
