Vancouver-based AMEC, the international project management and services company, has chosen Bob Stanlake as its new VP & GM of mining and metals. Stanlake was formerly VP of business development, and he replaces Tim Watson who is moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to lead AMEC's business in a number of other sectors.

Matt Manson has been named president and COO of Toronto's CONTACT DIAMOND CORP. He was a key figure in the development of the Diavik diamond mine and Aber's rough diamond sorting and sales operations.

DYNATEC CORP. of Richmond Hill, Ont., has named Bruce V. Walter its next president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2005. He joined the company in 2002 as vice-chairman.

Toronto-based AUR RESOURCES has changed its operating structure from a geographic-based division structure to one based on business activates. Each division will be headed by an executive VP reporting to the CEO. The new titles go to David Brace in business development, David Libby in mining operations, and Peter McCarter in corporate affairs and as secretary. Ron Gagel has resigned as CFO and the position will be filled shortly. Two vice-presidents were also named: Ed Stuart for development projects, and Britt Reid for mining operations in South America. Howard Stockford, the current executive VP, will retire at the end of the year but remain on the board.
