Paul McNeill is now VP exploration at AURORA ENERGY of Vancouver. He is considered one of the industry's top geoscientists specializing in uranium exploration in Labrador's Central Mineral Belt. He will be based in St. John's, Nfld.

CALIBRE MINING of Vancouver has named Dr. John A. McDonald to its board of directors. He was on the team credited with discovering and developing De Beers' Snap Lake diamond project in the Northwest Territories.

The Saskatoon regional office of GOLDER ASSOCIATES has named Leon C. Botham and Laurent F. Gareau as principals of the company. Eric Hinton has been named an associate.

Toronto's LAKE SHORE GOLD has appointed Brian Hagan, a former manager of the McCreedy West nickel mine, its VP of HS&E. Formerly of Aur Resources, Kimberley Reckin is now Lake Shore's director of HR.

Tim Twomey has joined PREMIER GOLD MINES of Thunder Bay, Ont., as its exploration manager. He played a key role in the discovery, development and production of the High Grade zone at Goldcorp's Red Lake mine. He holds a BSc degree in geology from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay.

STRATEGIC RESOURCE ACQUISITION CORP. of Toronto has appointed John C. McConnell to the position of COO. Until the recent takeover by Sherwood Copper, McConnell was president of Keltic Mines. Before that he worked for De Beers and had overall responsibility for the Snap Lake diamond project.

Cary Pinkowski has been named CEO and a director of WHISTLER GOLD, headquartered in Vancouver. He was a founder of Entre Gold and of Kola Mining.
