Toronto's BANRO CORP. has named Peter Cowley its new president and CEO. He brings over 30-years experience, primarily in Africa, to the position.

DIAMOND FIELDS INTERNATIONAL of Vancouver has added Jack F. McOuat to its board. He is a founding partner to the world-renowned mining consulting firm WATTS, GRIFFIS AND McOUAT. His distinguished career, including a hand in the discovery and development of many major mineral deposits around the globe, spans over 50 years.

Janice K. Henry has joined the board of nickel giant INCO LIMITED. He is currently senior VP, CFO and treasurer of MARTIN MARIETTA MATERIALS.

INDICATOR MINERALS of Edmonton has named David Kelsch as its VP exploration. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, he has spent the past 12 years on diamond exploration in Canada.

The newest director at JAGUAR MINING is Anthony F. Griffiths. He replaces Gabriel Crozzoli who has resigned.

Dr. Peter J. Guest is the new president and CEO of Vancouver-based MANHATTAN MINERALS. He will also hold a seat on the board of directors. He holds a masters and doctorate of engineering and an MSc from the University of California Berkeley and an MBA from Boston University.

MINE RADIO SYSTEMS of Stouffville, Ont., is strengthening its presence in Latin America with the appointment of Hector Salas to the Position of technical sales engineering. Salas will move from Chile to the company's Canadian office.

The CFO at MINEFINDERS CORP. is now Ronal Simpson of Vancouver. He replaces Jon Morda who has left to pursue other business opportunities.

Vancouver-based HUDSON RESOURCES has appointed Bruce Counts as a technical advisor to the company. He has been working with Hudson for the last two years through his consulting company, LithoQuest, and he was involved in the discovery and development of the Ekati diamond mine.

ROBEX, which is exploring for gold in Mali, has named William H. Bird to the office of president and CEO. Marcel Bdard assumes the chairmanship.

Benoit Desormeau is the new COO and Mohamed Sajid the CFO at SEMAFO of Montreal. The company has mineral interests in West Africa.

SULLIDEN EXPLORATION of Montreal has named Jean-Charles Potvin as chairman, replacing Jean Depatie, who will remain on the board. Potvin has been a director of the company since April 2003.

Gregory G. Marlier is now the CFO at VISTA GOLD, headquartered in Denver, Colo. He has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting and securities regulatory compliance, much of it within the mining industry.

VVC EXPLORATION of Toronto has revamped its management as follows. Patrick Fernet, a legal consultant, has been made president and appointed to the board. Former president Serge Gauthier is assuming a new role as VP of corporate development. Additionally, Martin Crete has been named a director.
