Gordon Davidson has joined Vancouver's BAYSWATER URANIUM CORP. in the newly created role of VP exploration. He has played a role in uranium discoveries in the Thelon and Athabasca basins. He also directed exploration at Cumberland's Meadowbank gold project.

CUMBERLAND RESOURCES of Vancouver is increasing its management team. Ted Rutherglen is now VP HR and H&S. Roy Lindsay has joined the company as construction superintendent at the Meadowbank gold project.

Toronto's CASTILLIAN RESOURCES has named David Gower as president and CEO, effective Dec. 1. He was previously general manager of global nickel and PGM exploration at Falconbridge.

Engineering firm GARTNER LEE has opened a new office in Halifax, and Ken Hamilton is the manager. He holds a chemical engineering degree from St. Mary's University and the Nova Scotia Technical University. Hamilton can be reached at 902-435-0792.

GOLDMARK MINERALS of Calgary is refocusing its efforts on precious metal properties in South America and has made plans to engage a new management team. Peter Barker will be CEO, Gerhard Jacob will be president, and Karen Hill will be corporate secretary.

Lynda Bloom is joining the board of Vancouver-based HALO RESOURCES. She is a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and recently completed her term as chair of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy's Toronto Branch, as well as serving on several government advisory boards. She is also currently president & CEO of Canadian Shield and a director of Augen Capital.
