CANADIAN ROYALTIES of Montreal has named Patrick Godin its VP operation and general mine manager for the Nunavik nickel project. The company expects production to begin by late 2009. Godin is a graduate of Laval University with a degree in mining engineering.

Peter Barker is stepping into the presidents job as well as retaining his CEO position at GOLDMARK MINERALS of Calgary. The move follows the resignation of former president Gerhard Jacob.

Torontos NUINSCO RESOURCES has restructured its management and refocused on exploration. Paul Jones has been promoted to president from VP exploration, and he will remain VP exploration of Victory Nickel. Jones is the holder of an honours geology degree from Carleton University. Chris Wagg becomes manager of Canadian exploration. Laird Tomalty is now logistics co-ordinator and field manager. Laura Giroux becomes project geologist and data manager. The resignation of Normand Lecuyer from both Nuinsco and Victory Nickel was also noted.
