COFFEY MINING, the global consulting service, has named Norman Lock its regional manager for Canada, effective Nov. 10, 2008. He will be based in Johannesburg until Coffey establishes new offices in Toronto.

Colin Benner is the new chairman of Vancouver-based CRESTON MOLY CORP. His 40 years of experience include management and boardroom appointments at a long list of Canadian mining companies.

Vancouver's GOLDSOURCE MINES has appointed Eric Friedland as a director of the company. He is currently the chairman and CEO of Peregrine Diamonds.

GOLDEN ODYSSEY MINING of Toronto has appointed Tyrone Docherty as its new president, CEO and director. He was president and CEO of Quinto Mining Corp. until it was sold to Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines in June 2008.

With the purchase of Independent Nickel pending, VICTORY NICKEL of Toronto is shuffling its board of directors. Rene Galipeau and George Archibald have resigned to be replaced by Richard Murphy and Wayne Whymark, both of whom were directors of Independent Nickel.
