COGITORE RESOURCES of Toronto has named Dr. Grald Riverin its new CEO. He will retain his duties as president, and Mark Goodman will continue to serve as the company's executive chairman.

Jennifer Abols, GEKKO SYSTEM's sales manager, has won the Bill Moore Special Achievement Award during the CANADIAN MINERAL PROCESSORS meeting held in Ottawa in January. The award recognizes an outstanding contribution to the mineral processing industry and is an award specifically intended to honour younger members, typically those under the age of 35.

GOLDER ASSOCIATES of Mississauga, Ont., has added three new senior members to its Ore Evaluations Services Group. Kevin Palmer has 21 years of experience and comes from a similar position at Wardrop Engineering. Greg Greenough's expertise derives from over 30 years of exploration with Inco. Matt Wunder has over 20 years' experience in a wide range of projects in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central America.

Hall Stewart is the new VP of exploration at SOHO RESOURCES of Vancouver.

Jim Carter, president and COO of SYNCRUDE, has announced his retirement effective April 30, 2007. He began his career with the company in 1979 and has held his present post since 1997.
