Montreal-based DIAGEM has named Claude Durocher as CEO and Pal Einarson as CFO. Dr. Mousseau Tremblay remains chairman of the board.

NORTH AMERICAN PALLADIUM of Toronto says Michael P. Amsden will step down from the chairmanship of its board effective Jan. 1, 2006. He will remain a member of the board. Andr J. Douchane will take up the reins as chairman at the time. Meanwhile, a search is underway to replace Douchane as president and CEO of the company.

William H. Bird, has been named the new president and CEO of Vancouver-based RARE ELEMENT RESOURCES. He earned a PhD in geology from the Colorado School of Mines.

Vancouver's TASEKO MINES has appointed Russell E. Hallbauer as president and CEO of the company. His 30 years of experience include senior positions at Teck Cominco at its Highland Valley and Antamina joint ventures and as general manager of coal operations at Bullmoose, Quintette and Elkview.
