James R. (Jim) Paterson has been appointed manager of corporate development at INTERNATIONAL NORTHAIR MINES of Vancouver.

VANNESSA VENTURES of Vancouver has named John R. Morgan the new president and CEO. Manfred Peschke, who formerly held those positions, is now chairman of the board.

Colin Osborne, STELCO’s executive VP of strategy, is taking up additional responsibilities as COO. He will be in charge of Stelco’s integrated business located in Hamilton and Nanticoke, Ont.

YAMANA GOLD of Toronto has named Mel Klohn as VP exploration. He will be Yamana’s senior exploration officer responsible for exploration in Brazil, notably for gold-bearing deposits.

Hugh Brooke Macdonald has been appointed VP new business development and general counsel of Ottawa-based EVERTON RESOURCES. Macdonald’s particular expertise lies in acquiring and permitting gold properties in Latin America.

Toronto-based TITANIUM CORP. named John Oxenford to the position of senior VP of oil sands operations. He is one of Canada’s leading experts in mineral sand processing technology and is an acknowledged expert in the mineral sands and oil sands industries.

TVI PACIFIC of Calgary has hired geologist Kevin Russell to manage its Shuikoushan gold project in China. Russell has extensive experience working with Carlin-type gold deposits in Nevada.

Brian Menell and His Highness Sheikh Hasher Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum have been appointed, respectively, chairman and non-executive vice-chairman of Vancouver’s DIAMONDWORKS LTD.
