Toronto-based NORCAST INCOME TRUST has named Pierre Julien VP of sales and marketing for NORCAST CASTINGS COMPANY, the operating arm of the Trust. He was most recently president of Outokumpu Technology North America, responsible for managing all business activities in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Earlier Julien also served Outokumpu as general manager of its Canadian division and manager of automation technology products. In addition, he gained previous mining industry experience at Ramsey Technology, Foxboro Canada Inc. and ABB Instruments.
MESA URANIUM CORP. of Vancouver has named Gregory French its new VP exploration. During his 25-year career he was part of the team that discovered the Gold Bar Satellite deposits in Nevada and the Grassy Mountain gold deposit in Oregon.
Robert W. (Bob) Bell has accepted a position as executive VP & COO at PINE VALLEY MINING CORP. of Vancouver. He comes to the job from Luscar Ltd., where he was VP marketing. Bell is a mine engineering graduate of McGill University and earned an MBA at Queen's University. He is also a past-chairman of the Coal Association of Canada.
Toronto-based ELORO RESOURCES has conferred the job of executive VP exploration on Martin Bourgoin. He is also founder and president of MRB & Associates, a Val d'Or, Quebec-based geological consulting firm.
Eduardo Baer has joined GFM RESOURCES of Vancouver as president & CEO. He is a former president of European Goldfields. Lizardo Galvan, the former president & CEO of GFM, has assumed the duties of COO.
