Vancouver-based CONSOLIDATED PACIFIC BAY MINERALS has named George Sanders VP of operations and exploration for Argentina. He will plan further work at the Regalo properties optioned in Chubut Province.

Donald C. Roth has been elected as an independent member of Denver-headquartered NEWMONT MINING’s board. He is the managing partner of Emerging Markets Partnership, an international private equity firm.

NUSTAR RESOURCES of Toronto has asked Kevin M. Keough to assume the position of president. He takes over from James W. McLeod, a founder of the company, who is stepping aside to pursue other activities but will remain a director.

Marco Gagnon is the new VP of exploration and acquisitions at Quebec City-based SOCIETY D’EXPLORATION MINIERE VIOR. For the past 10 years, he has worked for Inmet Mining designing, implementing and managing exploration programs in eastern Canada.

BREAKWATER RESOURCES of Toronto has named Richard R. Godfrey its new VP finance and CFO.

Gabriela Sanchez has joined Toronto-based DUNDEE PRECIOUS METALS as VP of investor relations. She is an IR specialist with 15 years’ experience.

MIDLANDS MINERALS of Toronto has named Kim F. Harris its managing director and CEO and Paul E. Singer its CFO. Two directors, Mark B. Keatley and Pierre Lalande, were added to the board. Finally, Marc Boisvert was named geological advisor. The announcements were made by Midlands chairman Alfred Powis, O.C.

Jeffrey M. Fehn, a former investment banker, is the new chairman of Vancouver’s PINE VALLEY MINING. Outgoing chairman Mark Smith will remain on the board.
