PAN AMERICAN SILVER has separated the roles of chairman and CEO: Ross J. Beaty will continue as chairman and Geoff Burns, formerly president and COO, will become president and CEO.
Garth A. Pierce has joined INTER-CITIC MINERALS as VP exploration. He will direct exploration programs in China and Inner Mongolia.
FIRST POINT MINERALS has reorganized its management, naming Dr. Peter Bradshaw executive chairman. The duties of president will be taken up by Chris Mitchell who retains his roles as CFO and secretary.
Dr. Salustio Guzman has joined TITANIUM CORP. as its new manager of process upgrading technologies. Specifically he will oversee the evaluation and design of the most suitable means to increase the grade of titanium-bearing minerals from the retreatment of Syncrude's oil sands tailings.
CENTERRA GOLD, the spin-off of Cameco Corp., has named David Petroff as first executive VP and CFO. He will retain his responsibilities as senior VP, finance and administration and CFO at Cameco until a successor is named and a transition period is completed at the end of July 2004. He will be based at the Centerra head office in Toronto.
The new exploration manager at BANRO CORP.'s Twangiza-Namoya gold project is Michael Skead.
