QUINTO TECHNOLOGY of Delta, B.C., has made Bryan Nethery and Michel Robert VPs of advanced project development and mining, respectively. They were formerly consultants to the company.

Lloyd E. Metz, who joined Calgary-based GRANDE CACHE COAL in September, has been made that company's director of engineering and planning.

Vancouver's SHERWOOD COPPER has selected Bill Dunn as general manager of its Minco copper-gold project. He will oversee the completion of the current feasibility study, and if a production decision is made, head up development and then mining.

R. Dennis Bergen, the manager of the CanTung mine, has been elected a director of KIMBER RESOURCES of Vancouver. Also named to the board is James Puplava. Both will serve three-year terms.

Rob McEwen is increasing his stake in Vancouver's NEVADA PACIFIC GOLD to 30.8% of the outstanding shares. Along with his investment he will become a director and executive chairman of the board. McEwen, who founded Goldcorp, has been honoured as the Northern Miner's Man of the Year, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada's Developer of the Year, and Ernst & Young's Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year (Energy).
