SABINA RESOURCES, headquartered in Thunder Bay, Ont., has welcomed Abraham Drost as its new president. At the same time the company said William Cummins has assumed the position of chairman and retains the job of CEO. Ewan Downie becomes VP.
John Fleming, chairman of CORNERSTONE CAPITAL RESOURCES, announced the appointment of Glen McKay as president replacing Jonathan Challis who has resigned and is leaving the company. Fleming has also been appointed CEO.
Vancouver-based NEVADA PACIFIC GOLD reports that Joe Kajszo has resigned as president but will remain on the board. CEO Richard Barclay will add the duties of president to his portfolio. W.R. (Bill) Franklin replaces Barclay as CFO.
ONTZINC CORP. of Toronto has chosen Peter Jones, now the managing director and CEO of Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting Co., to become the new company's president and CEO when acquisition of HBM&S is complete. Until that time Peter George, OntZinc's president, will carry out the duties of CEO. Former CEO Gregory J. Peebles has resigned.
Toronto's VOLCANIC METALS EXPLORATION has appointed Sandy J. MacDougall as president and CEO. He replaces David Mason who will remain chairman of the board. MacDougall is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Economics and has 15 years experience in the investment business as a stockbroker. He has also been intimately involved in numerous corporate financings in Canada and abroad for a wide range of companies, including resource exploration companies.
