SOUTHERNERA RESOURCES of Toronto has named Alasdair MacPhee as executive VP for Africa. The move is a promotion from his previous position as senior VP and chief development officer. MacPhee will be responsible for SouthernEra's operating, business development and exploration activities in Africa. Mike Eksteen will continue to serve as a non-executive director following his retirement from the position of senior VP and COO.
Courtney Pratt is officially the president and CEO of Hamilton-based STELCO; his appointment was announced last November to take effect at the beginning of this year. Also effective Jan. 1, were the appointment of Jean Menard as VP of sales, marketing and transportation and Geoff Inniss, general manager of North American and international sales for STELCO-McMASTER of Contrecoeur, Que.
