Sudbury-based Roy Rupert of Borinfo has this to about the recent merger mania. "CMJ has given us a bit of background on the PD/INCO/Falconbridge merger, basically what comes off the net. A major public issue is the nationality of ownership. These companies are not known for publishing shareholder info, but can CMJ get and give us any facts about how and where the shareholder control of the new company will lie when all the dust settles? Who will the bigger shareholders be, with how much control."
In response, Roy, I wish we had more insight into the situation, but our sources are also the public announcements, plus our own private ruminations. We will make public the news as well as we can, knowing how important the results are for hundreds of people in the Sudbury basin and many other places.
