ONTARIO - FIRST NICKEL of Toronto must be pleased with the latest assays from its Lockerby nickel-copper mine near Sudbury. An intersection of 28.96 m in the Lockerby Depth zone returned 2.34% Ni and 1.70% Cu. Drilling in that zone is designed to provide the basis for a new resource calculation from the 64 level to the 72 level.

First Nickel management says the drill results to date have met or exceeded its expectations. Highlights of the current program include the above-mentioned core section, which included a 13.26-m section of 3.95% Ni and 1.81% Cu. Another hole returned a core length of 47.62 m grading 1.51% Ni and 0.90% Cu including 11.45 m grading 3.34% Ni and 1.32% Cu. All assay intervals reported are core length and do not represent true width. The results for the remaining holes of this first stage of drilling will be reported once the assay data have been received.

First Nickel has four other exploration properties in the Sudbury Basin and two near Timmins, Ontario. Learn more at www.FirstNickel.com.
