MANITOBA - INDEPENDENT NICKEL CORP. of Sudbury, Ont., has begun a 20,000-m drill program at the former Lynn Lake nickel mine. The mine was operated by Sherritt-Gordon from 1953 to 1976. The complete history of the property is posted at www.IndependentNickel.com.

The drill program will test four mineralized areasthe near-surface M deposit, the Golf zone, the Echo zone and infill drilling of the Hotel target. The best historical intercepts were found on the 365-m-long Echo zone and assayed 2.2% Ni over 4.4 m.

In addition to the planned diamond drilling activity, Independent Nickel is working on a pre-feasibility study and permit applications.
