TORONTO - The CANADIAN MINING HALL OF FAME is calling for nominations leading to the induction of a new group of worthy individuals. Please note that submissions must be made through a sponsoring organization and that the deadlines have been advanced. Sponsors should be contacted by June 1, 2006, about nominations, and they must submit their nominations by June 14.
Nominations are open for people who have made an outstanding contribution to the Canadian mining industry. The names of individuals, firms or organizations may be submitted. Guidelines are available via the Mining Association of Canada at the website www.HallOfFame.Mining.ca. The names of sponsors and associates are available in the same place along with details about how to contact them.
The next Hall of Fame inductees will be honoured at a dinner in Toronto on Jan. 18, 2007.
