QUEBEC HINTERLAND METALS of Val dOr, Que., says assays from eight recent holes at its Plateau PGE project 35 km southeast of Matagami, has intersected a broad platinum and palladium zone. A broad zone of PGE mineralization hosted within pyroxenite gabbro ranging from 6.7- to 31.1-m wide was intersected by the latest drilling over a horizontal distance of 300 m. Weighted average intersections of the zone vary from 0.10 to 1.07 g/t PGE with maximum individual values up to 2.52 g/t PGE.

The PGE zone is marked by coincident magnetic, induced polarization and soil geochemical anomalies. A high-definition aeromagnetic survey completed in June 2006 traces the magnetic anomaly for 4.8 km. An IP survey is currently underway on the property to be followed later in the spring by a soil geochemical survey. The combined data from these three surveys will provide more precise target selection for future drilling.

The Plateau project is 100% owned by Hinterland. Visit www.HinterlandMetals.com for more information.
