HYATT INDUSTRIES of Vancouver has recently added new pieces of equipment to its sales, service and training line-up for the rotating equipment industries.
One is the infra-red SnapShot Model 525 imaging camera. It is suited to predictive or preventive maintenance and other applications where temperature measurements must be very accurate. It can be used on bearings, couplings, pumps, compressors, drives, belts, vessels, piping, heat exchangers, steam traps, insulation problems, tank levels, fluid flow problemsalmost anything in a mineral processing plant.
The SnapShot 525 uses the patented Honeywell thermoelectric detector array, showing the data on a 4-inch active matrix colour LCD display. The 8-Mb Flash Card stores up to 280 images viewable using the included PC card reader. The camera comes with SnapView Windows-based analysis and reporting software. Hyatt can also supply an optional communications package for remote control and data acquisition.
