QUEBEC - The Association de l'Exploration Miniere du Quebec (AEMQ) has named a team from Vancouver-based DONNER METALS and Toronto-based XSTRATA ZINC its "prospector of the year" for work done in the Matagami region. The team made discoveries of zinc, copper, silver and gold mineralization in five new zones at Bracemac and McLeod, 6 km southwest of Xstrata's Matagami mill.

Donner is drilling at the Matagami project to investigate three new, vertically stacked sulphide zones at Bracemac, two new sulphide zones at the Key Tuffite horizon at McLeod and the previously known Old McLeod zone. Donner has the option to earn a 50% interest in the Matagami project from Xstrata Zinc.

In accepting the award, Donner CEO Harvey Keats acknowledged the support of the Quebec government and its incentive programs provided through both Revenue Quebec and the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources. The award was made during the AEMQ annual gathering in Quebec City.

Ongoing news and maps of the Matagami project are posted at www.DonnerMetals.com.
