POINTE-CLAIRE, QUEBEC - FLYGT's new progressive cavity pumps can tackle liquids with high solids content whether they are low or high viscosity. The progressive cavity pumps are self-priming, rotary displacement units with a wide range of applications including sludge and slurry. The rotor turning inside the stator forms cavities that progress uniformly from suction to discharge, carrying the liquids with them. This type of pump has the added advantage of providing highly accurate dosing, says the manufacturer.

Flygt's largest progressive cavity pumps have the unique advantage of using hollow rotors, which greatly increase the life of the pump and reduce maintenance. Hollow rotors also reduce operating noise, and permit operation at higher rotational speed than conventional models without increasing wear. The pump design and material can be selected to suit your application and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
