PENNSYLVANIA CATTRON GROUP acquired CN's BELTPACK business including CANAC REMOTE CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES (formerly Vectran Corp.) in the middle of last October. Then on Nov. 2, Cattron said it had also acquired REMTRON. Cattron Group is the parent company of CATTRON-THEIMEG a leading international manufacturer of industrial remote control products and professional services.

Canac Remote Control Technologies and Beltpack products include the Beltpack and Cantrac radio remote control systems for locomotives. Also included are the former Vectran remote control systems for industrial applications. The three product lines will become part of Cattron Group's existing product offering.

Remtron produces the Command Pro line of remote control products for industrial cranes and commercial mobile equipment. The company will continue to produce, sell, service and support the product line in North America through its current domestic dealer network. Remtron products will be marketed, sold and supported internationally through the Cattron Group's worldwide operations, sales and distribution network.

With more than 57 years of radio frequency and industrial remote control experience, Cattron companies have implemented over 10,000 rail-related installations throughout the world. The group has supplied more than 100,000 remote-controlled systems in a variety of industries including railroads, mining, material-handling, aerospace, shipyards, steel, military and many more.
