OSISKO EXPLORATION of Montreal has signed a letter of intent to outfit a mineral processing plant at its 100%-owned Canadian Malartic gold property in Quebec. Metso will supply an 11.5-m-diameter SAG mill and two 8-m-diameter by 11.6-m-long ball mills. Once installed, these machines will be the largest operating mill units in North America, capable of processing between 28,000 and 40,000 t/d, depending on final design criteria. The Malartic property is believed to have a 3-4-million-oz gold potential.

Vancouver-based CORRIENTE RESOURCES has agreed to purchase equipment for its Mirador copper-gold mill in Ecuador from Metso Brasil. Corriente says the contract for a SAG and a ball mill is worth US$27 million. The Mirador mine is scheduled for startup at the end of 2008.

These two letters of intent are merely two of the most recent deals that Metso has concluded with customers around the world. Go to www.MetsoMinerals.com to learn more.
