LANGLEY, B.C. - KNELSON GRAVITY SOLUTIONS is now offering a rotary sample splitter which, it says, provides a superior splitting method, minimizing the influence of grain size, shape and specific gravity on sample splits. The innovative design splits directly into containers, pails or bags. The split samples are representative and may be recombined to obtain larger samples as required.
A cascading flow of material enters the feed funnel and is evenly distributed among the eight discharge ports. Both the vibrating feeder and the rotating distributor are equipped with variable speed drives enabling precise control when splitting different types of sample materials. During operation the vibrating feeder and the rotary splitter are bolted together; however, each device is free-standing and can be used independently if desired. Both units are on locking wheels to provide easy mobility.
