Vancouver-based GEMCOM, the global provider of mine production management solutions (MPMS), has launched Whittle 3.2, the newest version of its strategic planning and optimization software designed to maximize the economic potential of mines.
Whittle 3.2 includes improved interfacing capabilities for third-party applications. The enhanced Value Expressions Module offers mine planners more control over the modelling of monetary values for bulk minerals. Users can define an expression, or a set of expressions, in order to calculate block values for open pit design.
In addition to improved support capabilities for larger file sizes and over 100 bug fixes, Whittle 3.2 offers better 3-D visuals that allow one or more mines to be viewed individually. Improved blend capability is also included in the latest version, where elements from different ore types are blended to achieve an optimal mix for processing or selling.
