LONDON, U.K. - The INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL ON MINING & METALS (ICMM) is marking its third year of work with the publication of its latest newsletter. The organization provides an international forum for the mineral industry to share challenges and responsibilities involved in sustainable development.
In the most recent newsletter, Paul Mitchell, ICMM secretary general, takes stock of the organization's achievements and notes some of the areas where more work is needed. There are also items concerning how the mining industry can support protected areas, how good science is important to materials stewardship, a list of new publications, and much more.
