ALBERTA — Canadian Natural Resources (CNRL) of Calgary has shipped the first synthetic crude oil from its new Horizon oil sands project 70 km north of Fort McMurray. The March 18, 2009, shipment follows news that the first synthetic crude was recovered on Feb. 28.
