It’s one of the leading children’s hospitals in North America, treating more than 200,000 young people under the age of 18 every year. Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, now called "SickKids," is the largest research institute for children in Canada, known for its groundbreaking developments in childhood cancer, cystic fibrosis, genetic medicine, organ transplants and many other diseases and serious childhood illnesses.
To do this efficiently, SickKids relies heavily not only on government funding but private donations as well. One entrepreneur who has risen to the challenge to help raise money for this world class hospital is Paul Ross. He’s hoping to raise at least $25,000 for SickKids as a way of giving back. "The doctors and nurses saved my daughter’s life, 25-years-ago and I’ve always been very grateful,” Ross said.
